Sheet Mask / Mascarillas Tipo Hoja

What are sheet mask? A soft cotton/ fiber cloth soaked in skin loving essences and oils. Conveniently, they’re designed with eye, nose and lip holes so you can breathe and see (while using the mask). They’re super easy to use and a little slippery, but the best part is that there’s no need to wash away any product afterward, just peel it off and pat the leftover ingredients into your skin. You can do them as often as you like; many women in Korea use them as part of a daily beauty routine.

Why they work? The sheet acts as a barrier to help the serum stay on your skin longer, enhancing absorption, so the product penetrates deep into the epidermis.

Where to get them? There’re thousands of sheet masks for all of skin issues/types; whether you need major hydration, a collagen-rich formula to plump, a calming fix for acne, a whitening and brightening mask, etc.

Personally I LOVE sheet masks, they are quick, easy and they work! Price point they run from US$.99 to US$3,000.00 (maybe more!). At this moment I’m still testing a few of them, but so far I’m loving the Garnier SkinActive ones (Hydration, Soothing & Glow Boosting), there’s about 4 different types. On another post I will be updating my experience with this mask and also including my Friday’s routine (yes, I have an specific skin care routine for the end of the week).

¿Qué son las mascarillas tipo hojas? Un paño de algodón/fibra suave empapado en esencias y aceites para la piel. De manera conveniente, están diseñadas con agujeros en los ojos, nariz y labios para que puedas respirar y ver (mientras usas la mascara) son super fáciles de usar y un poco resbaladizas, pero la mejor parte es que no hay necesidad de lavar la cara para eliminar el producto después de su uso, sólo se remueve la mascarilla y con ligeras palmaditas acariciar los ingredients sobrantes en la piel. Se pueden usar tan a menudo como quieras, muchas mujeres en Corea las utilizan como parte de una rutina de belleza diaria.

¿Por qué trabajan? La hoja actúa como una barrera para ayudar a que el suero permanezca en la piel más tiempo, mejorando la absorción, por lo que el producto penetra profundamente en la epidermis.

¿Dónde obtenerlas? Hay miles de este tipo de mascarillas para todos los problemas / tipos de piel; Si necesitas una hidratación mayor, una fórmula rica en colágeno, una solución calmante para el acné, una máscara de blanqueamiento y brillo, etc.

Personalmente ME ENCANTAN, son rápidas, fáciles y funcionan! En cuanto a precios que las puedes encontrar desde US$.99 a US$3.000.00 (tal vez más!). En este momento todavía estoy probando algunas de ellos, pero hasta ahora estoy amando las Garnier SkinActive Hydration, Soothing & Glow Boosting (para hidratacion, alivio calmante y aumento de brillo sin grasas), hay alrededor de 4 tipos diferentes. En otro post voy a estar actualizando mi experiencia con estas máscaras y también incluyendo la rutina de mi viernes (sí, tengo una rutina específica de cuidado de la piel para el final de la semana).
